AMSG’s governance framework brings together Member States, Ministers, standing committees, the Secretariat and implementation platforms to translate continental priorities into coordinated action.

SUPREME POLICY ORGAN

General Assembly

The highest decision-making organ of AMSG, composed of Member States and responsible for strategic direction, institutional governance and continental policy guidance.

MINISTERIAL LEADERSHIP

Ministerial Steering Committee

Comprising Ministers responsible for minerals and mining, the Committee provides ministerial oversight, strategic coordination and guidance for implementation across Member States.

SPECIALIZED POLICY OVERSIGHT

Standing Committees

AMSG’s Standing Committees provide specialized technical, policy and institutional guidance across areas including finance, partnerships, sustainability, governance, communications and responsible minerals development.

EXECUTIVE IMPLEMENTATION ARM

Secretariat

Led by the Secretary-General, the Secretariat coordinates implementation, diplomacy, strategic partnerships, institutional operations and the execution of decisions adopted by AMSG Member States.
