Africa Critical Minerals Security Forum

The Africa Critical Minerals Security Forum is AMSG’s high-level continental platform for positioning critical minerals as strategic assets for national security, resource sovereignty, regional stability and global supply chain resilience. Convened under the leadership of Uganda and AMSG, the Forum will bring together Heads of State, Ministers, security institutions, industry leaders and strategic partners to shape Africa’s critical minerals security architecture.

Securing Africa’s Strategic Minerals Security

The Africa Critical Minerals Security Forum is a high-level continental platform established to help African governments safeguard critical minerals as strategic national security assets.

The Forum responds to the growing global competition over minerals that power clean energy, defence systems, digital infrastructure, AI, semiconductors, aerospace technologies and advanced manufacturing.

Through AMSG, the Forum strengthens cooperation among Member States on mineral security, intelligence sharing, supply chain protection, value addition, responsible sourcing and resource sovereignty.
