Ministerial Leadership

The Ministerial Steering Committee serves as the principal policy and coordination organ of AMSG between sessions of the General Assembly. Composed of Ministers responsible for minerals, mining and related strategic sectors, it provides leadership for the implementation of decisions, strategic partnerships and continental cooperation on critical minerals development.

INSTITUTIONAL LEGACY

2024 – 2026 Ministerial Steering Committee

Since the establishment of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG) on 9 January 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ministers and Senior Government Officials from Member States have played a pivotal role in building the Organization. Their leadership contributed to the establishment of AMSG, the adoption of the Ministerial Resolution and Charter, and the development of the Organization during its formative years. AMSG proudly recognizes these leaders as part of its founding and institutional legacy.
