New York, 24 September 2025
The Africa Minerals Strategy Group (AMSG), in partnership with the Power of One Foundation, formally globally launched the Africans for Africa Initiative on 24 September 2025 at the Renaissance NY in Harlem, New York City – marking a historic moment in Pan-African unity and global collaboration.
Convened under the leadership of H.E. Moses Micheal Engadu, Secretary-General of AMSG and Chairman of the Africans for Africa Initiative, the Gala brought together African leaders, diaspora influencers, global investors, and cultural icons for one bold mission:
“To unite Africans and people of African descent — not in charity, but in power, investment, and shared responsibility.”
– H.E Moses Micheal Engadu, AMSG Secretary-General
Harlem: The Birthplace of a New Renaissance
The choice of Harlem – the global capital of Black cultural awakening – was profoundly symbolic. Just as the Harlem Renaissance reshaped global Black consciousness, this launch declared the beginning of an African Renaissance driven by economic independence, mineral sovereignty, and diaspora capital mobilization.
““The Harlem Renaissance gave the world art and pride. Tonight, we begin another Renaissance — an African Renaissance”
– H.E Moses Micheal Engadu, AMSG Secretary-General
Launch Priorities: From Inspiration to Impact
The Africans for Africa Initiative unveiled three landmark missions that will be executed continent-wide:
1. Clean Water Campaign – starting with the cleansing of mercury-contaminated rivers.
2. Fight Against Illegal Mining – replacing destructive extraction with ethical, community-owned operations.
3. Africa Mineral Token (AMT) – a blockchain-backed financial instrument to mobilize diaspora and sovereign capital into African-led projects
These initiatives will be implemented through public-private partnerships, government coordination, and diaspora investment vehicles stewarded by AMSG’s oversight mechanisms.

A Call to Destiny
The Africans for Africa launch was more than a ceremony – it was a financial and moral declaration.
“If one million Africans – at home and abroad – contribute just $1,000 each, that is $1 billion. Not in aid, but in investment. And that billion will clean rivers, build schools, fund ethical mines, and secure a future worthy of our children.”
The Movement Has Begun
From Harlem to Lagos, from Kinshasa to Atlanta, from Nairobi to Houston – Africa is calling her own.
The Africans for Africa Initiative is now officially live.
To join, partner, or invest – AMSG invites leaders, citizens, and institutions across the world to stand in solidarity.
Because:
If not us – then who?
If not now – then when?
