The Africa Minerals Strategy Group together with its Founding Member States and Strategic Partners will host the Second High-Level Roundtable on Critical Minerals Development in Africa on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025 in New York, United States of the America.

The Second AMSG High-Level Roundtable will bring together Heads of States, Ministers, Senior Government Representatives, International Organizations, Industry CEOs, Civil Society and Host Community Leaders with a focus on ensuring a Sustainable, Transparent and Secure Supply of Critical Minerals.

This year’s roundtable follows, the very successful 2024 Inaugural AMSG High-Level Roundtable on Africa’s Minerals Shaping the Future which took place on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly on 24 September 2024. The inaugural AMSG High Level Roundtable provided a strategic forum for Heads of State, Ministers, Government Representatives, and 150 Private Sector CEOs, Civil Society and Academia to network, discuss and work together to harness Africa’s vast natural resources and proven critical minerals reserves to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals while catalyzing the economic development of Africa and powering the global energy transition.
