First AMSG High-Level Roundtable at the 79th United Nations General Assembly

The Africa Minerals Strategy Group convened its inaugural High-Level Roundtable on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, bringing together African Ministers, senior government officials, strategic partners, development institutions and private sector leaders to discuss Africa’s critical minerals future.
The Roundtable focused on advancing a common African position on mineral development, promoting responsible sourcing, mobilizing investment, strengthening mineral value chains and positioning Africa as a strategic partner in the global energy transition.
The meeting reinforced AMSG’s role as a continental platform for cooperation on critical minerals development and highlighted the importance of speaking with one African voice in global discussions on mineral security and industrialization.
