Launch of the AMSG Madini Blockchain Platform and Africa Mineral Token (AMT)

The Africa Minerals Strategy Group officially launched the Madini Protocol and the Africa Mineral Token (AMT) during the 4th Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following its first launch on 9 January 2026 at the AMSG Secretariat in Kampala, Uganda.
The Madini Protocol was introduced as a blockchain-powered platform designed to enhance traceability, responsible sourcing, transparency and accountability across Africa’s mineral value chains, while the Africa Mineral Token was unveiled as an innovative financing and participation mechanism to support mineral development across the continent.
Together, the two initiatives represent a transformative step toward digital mineral governance, responsible sourcing, traceability and innovative financing solutions aimed at positioning Africa as a global leader in the critical minerals economy.
