Opening Ministerial Forum at the Inaugural African Mining Week

The Secretary-General delivered opening remarks at the Ministerial Forum of the inaugural African Mining Week in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Forum brought together Ministers, regulators, investors, mining companies and development partners to discuss opportunities for accelerating exploration, investment, mineral value addition and sustainable mining across Africa.
The Secretary-General emphasized the importance of continental cooperation, strategic partnerships and transforming Africa’s mineral wealth into long-term prosperity and industrial development.
