The Federal Republic of Nigeria completed its constitutional process of accession through the signing, sealing and deposit of its Instrument of Ratification and became a Full Member Nation of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group.
President Tinubu Assumes Leadership of the General Assembly
H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was formally invested and assumed office as the First Chairperson of the AMSG General Assembly, the highest political organ of the Organization.
Dr. Oladele Henry Alake Assumes Ministerial Leadership
H.E. Dr. Oladele Henry Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was formally invested and assumed office as Chairperson of the AMSG Ministerial Steering Committee.
First Secretary-General Sworn In and Invested
H.E. Moses Micheal Engadu of the Republic of Uganda was formally sworn in, invested and assumed office as the First Secretary-General of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group.
Together, these milestones completed AMSG’s first constitutional investiture process and activated the principal leadership organs of the Organization.
