AMSG Secretary-General Calls for Africa to Do Local Beneficiation

The Secretary-General of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group called for African countries to prioritize local beneficiation and value addition in order to derive greater economic value from the continent’s vast mineral resources.

The engagement emphasized that Africa must move beyond exporting raw minerals and instead build industrial capacity, create jobs, strengthen local value chains and ensure that mineral wealth contributes directly to socio-economic transformation.
