The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia, under the chairmanship of H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, approved the ratification of the Charter of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group during a Cabinet meeting held in Mogadishu.

The decision provides the formal governmental authorization required for Somalia to advance to the next stage of its national ratification process. The Instrument of Ratification will now be submitted to H.E. the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia for signature.

02. Presidential Signature and Formal Deposit

Following the Cabinet’s approval, Somalia’s Instrument of Ratification will be presented to H.E. the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia for signature.

Upon Presidential signature, the duly executed Instrument will be formally deposited with H.E. Moses Micheal Engadu, Secretary-General of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group, in accordance with the provisions of the AMSG Charter.

The formal deposit of the Instrument will complete Somalia’s ratification process and confirm the Federal Republic of Somalia as the Fifth Ratifying Member Nation of the Africa Minerals Strategy Group.
